Here’s your chance to get a behind the scenes look at the Ferguson Forest Centre in Kemptville.
An open house is scheduled for Saturday where organizers say you’ll get a glimpse at at various aspects of the yearly production growing cycle, from seed to seedling.
The forest is made up of 1,100 acres of multi-use forested land and includes trails, an arboretum, dog park, disc golf, winter trail, picnic area and canoe/kayak launch.
Organizers say the open house, taking place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is based around the foundation of sustainable forestry from the nursery perspective.
