A new multi-use accessible floating dock and kayak launch will soon be in place at Curry Park thanks to a $32,000 donation from the Rotary Club of Kemptville.
Officials say the donation was planned as part of the municipality’s 2025 capital budget, and is a wonderful collaboration between the Rotary Club and Municipality of North Grenville.
With a focus on accessibility and inclusion, they add the new dock will create safe and welcoming water access for individuals of all ages and abilities.
The floating dock and kayak launch will be designed to accommodate users with mobility challenges, ensuring a safe and easy way to enjoy the water.
It will be installed during National AccessAbility Week 2025, May 25 to May 31, and there is a ribbon-cutting ceremony, scheduled for June 4th, at 6:30 p.m.
