You`ll be able to start your engine and head out onto the Rideau Canal later this week.
Parks Canada says the 194th navigation season on the canal starts on Friday with the season to run until Thanksgiving weekend.

Officials say that activities on or near the water and around locks and dams could be hazardous and are not recommended as the canal opens up.
This is the 100th anniversary of the canal’s designation as a National Historic Site of Canada.
