You’re being invited to rebuild hope with the House of Lazarus food bank.
After losing their previous home to a fire in April 2023, the HOL is set to move into a new location in Mountain thanks to a financial donation from Scotiabank and a two acre land donation from a private couple.
The new building will be located on Ronson Road in Mountain, kitty corner to HOL’s current headquarters.
To help with the funds to complete the new building, Moose FM is hosting a radiothon on Friday at the new location from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
HOL Executive Director Cathy Ashby says every bit helps.
“Come out and if you can donate some funds great, if you can purchase a hamburger and a hot dog (from our barbeque) and help us out that way that would be great.”
The current food bank is located on Clark Road and the hope is to have everything moved over to the new location by the end of the month.
