Victim Services of Leeds and Grenville will use an influx of funding from the province for its work to prevent and address gender-based violence.
The funding, $227, 607 over three years, will go to the new Intimate Partner Violence Gender-Based Violence Rural Community Hub initiative.
Officials say a family support worker will support individuals and families who are struggling, where those struggles are impacting their relationships.
They add the aim is to provide support, resources, and tools with the goal of decreasing the risk of these situations escalating.
The project is also fully mobile and will see the support worker supporting individuals and families in their homes and/or within the community.
