Update: 9:58 a.m. Wednesday
A freezing rain warning and a special weather statement are both now in effect for our region.
Environment Canada says this freezing rain won’t be nearly as significant as the ice storm from this past weekend.
The weather agency says snow and ice pellets will advance northeastward Wednesday afternoon before transitioning to freezing rain Wednesday night.
Prior to the transition to freezing rain, snowfall amounts up to 5 centimetres may occur over some locations.
Easterly winds gusting to near 50 kilometres an hour may exacerbate any tree damage.
As temperatures rise above the freezing mark, freezing rain will transition to rain overnight into early Thursday morning.

Just days after our last blast of winter, we are set to get another one.
Environment Canada has a special weather statement in effect for the region with snow expected to start falling on Wednesday afternoon.
Meteorologist Trudy Kidd says that will be followed by freezing rain Wednesday evening and overnight and then rain and possible thunderstorms Thursday morning.
Kidd tells Moose FM that the weather we’ve seen lately is typical for this time of the year.
“We really have to be prepared for the days in between and then just hang on tight for those little days of respite from the craziness.”
Kidd says the weather we’ve seen lately is indicative of what we will see for the rest of April.
