It’s shaping up to be a pretty sweet weekend in Kemptville.
Ontario Maple Weekend is being celebrated on April 5 and 6 and, locally, there will be events taking place at the Kemptville Campus Agroforestry Centre.
Karen Bedard is the maple syrup producer at the centre and she tells Moose FM that they have produced just over 1, 487 liters of maple syrup every season over the last few years and, so far this year, they have collected over 567 liters.
She says there will be something for everyone to enjoy during the weekend.
“We’ll have a pancake breakfasts, we’ll have taffy pulls for those of you who really want the sweet stuff, we’ll have live music and self-guided tours.”
The breakfasts are being put on by Kemptville Rotary and the Kemptville Youth Centre with donations being accepted.
