North Grenville keeps growing and is prepared to continue to expand.
That was the central message behind North Grenville Mayor Nancy Peckford’s annual address, delivered Thursday night, where she pointed to the continued success of major projects like the expansion of County Road 43 and investments in the local water sewage plant.
She also pointed to the proposal to bring a multi-use sports dome as the types of investments that bring people together and improve quality of life.
Mayor Peckford also highlighted the repurposing plans for Bell Hall on Kemptville Campus that would be made into affordable senior and veteran’s apartments.
Earlier this week, North Grenville Council passed the 2025 budget with an increase of 3 per cent, which Mayor Peckford says was established with the rising cost of living first and foremost.
Mayor Peckford says they will continue to put residents first as the municipality continues to grow at a quick pace.
“We are very well positioned, we work hard every single day to capitalize on any federal or provincial funding opportunity that allows us to leverage other initiatives.”
Several businesses, both new and established, were recognized during the address and Mayor Peckford says they all show their heart and attachment to the community.
