Old man winter isn’t done laying the weather hammer down on us just yet.
Environment Canada says an approaching weather system is expected to sweep across eastern Ontario starting late Wednesday night and running into Thursday afternoon.
The weather agency says it could bring as much as 30 centimetres of snow with it before it’s said and done.
Environment Canada Warning Preparedness Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says it might be a good idea to stay off the roads on Thursday if you can.

“Certainly it will be in full force for the drive in on Thursday morning, likely with a number of centimetres on the ground already.”
Coulson adds the drive home on Thursday could be messy as well from all of the newly fallen snow.
