Who are the candidates in the Ontario election in Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes?
With Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s request to dissolve the legislature for an early election, sixteen months before one was officially scheduled to take place, being approved by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario the campaign began on Wednesday.
Progressive Conservative Candidate Steve Clark has held the seat in our riding since 2010 and is running once again. The PC’s have held the riding since it was created in 1987.
He is being opposed by NDP Candidate Christopher Wilson, Liberal Party Candidate Lorna Jean Edmonds and Green Party Candidate Fiona Jager.
Voters will head to the polls on Thursday, Feb. 27.
