Residents in Merrickville-Wolford could see a tax increase of close to six per cent this year.
Draft documents for the 2025 operating and capital budgets can be found on the village’s website and they include a 5.38 per cent tax increase.
That works out to around $47.72 for a residential home assessed at $100,000.
Increased policing costs are pegged as having a significant impact on the budget by limiting the increased funding of reserves.
