Update: Nova Scotia teen sentenced after pleading guilty in school threat case

A teen from Nova Scotia will serve eighteen months probation after being sentenced in connection to anonymous threats made against a Kemptville school

According to media reports, the 14-year-old, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, pleaded guilty to one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

Other charges the teen faced were dropped in return for the guilty plea and the male was sentenced to six more days in jail, in addition to time served, followed by the probation period.

In October, the suspect from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia was arrested and charged following threats made against St. Michael Catholic High School, beginning Sept. 12 and continuing until Oct. 17.

The threats resulted in the school being closed several times.
