Two Ottawa towing companies and a tow truck driver face charges following a police investigation.
Ottawa OPP say they received a complaint on Nov. 27 after they say a tow truck company had refused to release a vehicle from its impound yard after it had been towed there against the owner’s wishes following a collision.
Police say the vehicle’s owner was then told they had to pay more than $5,000 for one week of storage.
Then this past Monday, Ottawa OPP say they received a complaint of another tow company which was refusing to release a persons vehicle and also over charging.
Both Southway Towing and Pro Solution Towing now face charges as does a driver.
