Twenty-three drivers in our region have been charged with impaired since the Festive RIDE Campaign began a week ago.
East Region Ontario Provincial Police say officers have conducted over RIDE programs since November 21, stopping hundreds of drivers to ensure they were not impaired by alcohol or drugs.
Nine warnings were also issued, resulting on those drivers being issued licence suspensions and having their vehicles impounded.
If you suspect someone is driving impaired, police are asking you to call 911.Â
