Update: Bail hearing for teen suspect in anonymous threat investigation moved to December

A bail hearing for the teenage suspect charged in an anonymous threat investigation has been moved to early next month.

The 14-year-old suspect from Nova Scotia appeared virtually in a Brockville courtroom Tuesday morning.

His lawyer, Brockville-based Felicia O’Hara, asked that the case be brought back to court, with the suspect again appearing virtually, on Dec. 10.

The teen, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested following threats made against St. Michael Catholic High School, beginning Sept. 12 and continuing until Oct. 17.

The school was closed several times because of the threats and the teen faces numerous charges including uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, indecent communications and public mischief.

The teen faces similar charges in the United States.
