Parking in North Grenville this winter is now a lot easier.
Under a new municipal policy, drivers will be able to park on the street during the winter months.
It’s a reversal from the past when vehicles had to be moved off the street during the colder months with North Grenville Mayor Nancy Peckford saying they know not everyone has room in their driveways for all of their vehicles.
She adds you will have to sign up to be notified when there are short term bans put in place because of major winter storms.
“There will be a notification list that you can sign up for and we’ll blast out to you directly via email or text that a major snow event is coming and you must remove your vehicle from the street.”
