Students in our communities are learning first-hand about the Holocaust and human rights.
From Nov. 4 to the 15, the Tour for Humanity mobile education centre from the Friends Of Simon Wiesenthal Center For Holocaust Studies will be travelling throughout Eastern Ontario.
It will be visiting schools in Gananoque, Elgin, Brockville, Kemptville, Cornwall, Chesterville, Vankleek Hill, Russell and Clarence-Rockland, to deliver Holocaust and human rights education to Upper Canada District School Board students.
The Tour for Humanity is a 30-seat, wheelchair-accessible, state-of-the-art, technologically advanced mobile human rights education centre that teaches students, educators, community leaders and front-line professionals about the Holocaust, genocide and Canada’s human rights history through workshops.
This is the fourth year the Tour for Humanity will be visiting UCDSB schools.
