Police are reminding drivers to be more aware of what is happening around them.
It follows a collision on Highway 416, south of Brophy Drive, shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Ottawa OPP say a vehicle rear ended a crash truck in a construction zone with the driver of the at fault vehicle airlifted to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The operator of the crash truck was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The at fault driver was charged with careless driving.
It is the second collision in less than a week involving a crash truck being rear ended.
