A 14-year-old male suspect charged in an investigation over anonymous violent threats made against a Kemptville school will be back in court next month.
The teen, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, made a five minute video appearance in a Brockville courtroom Tuesday morning.
Duty counsel asked that he return to court on Nov. 7 so that a bail plan can be put in place and for his family to have time to request legal aid.
Grenville County OPP announced last Friday that the suspect from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia was arrested and charged following threats made against St. Michael Catholic High School, beginning Sept. 12 and continuing until Oct. 17.
The threats resulted in the school being closed several times.
The suspect faces numerous charges including uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, indecent communications and public mischief.
