U21 Hockey returning to Kemptville this season

For the first time since 2001, the Kemptville District Minor Hockey Association will ice a team at the U21 division.

The U21 Royals will be playing in the Lanark Carleton League, taking on teams from Carelton Place, Almonte, Osgood Rideau, Perth, Richmond, and West Carleton.

The players on the team were born between 2004 and 2006, and for many of them, the team will give them an opportunity to keep playing organized hockey for a little bit longer.

Ransom Lapensee is the Head Coach for the U21 Royals, Nick Ferrie is the Assistant Coach.

The U21 Royals open their season this Friday night November 1st on the road in Almonte.

They will host their inaugural home opener on Sunday at 7 p.m. at the North Grenville Municipal Centre in Kemptville when they welcome the Almonte Pakenham Thunder to town.
