The Merrickville Fire Department is getting some help saving lives.
The department has received a $25,000 grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Canada with the funds going towards purchasing auto extrication tools.
The donation will be made official with a presentation at the fire hall on Brock Street on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
The extrication tools will be on display and the public is welcome.
