Kemptville 73’s hosting the Renfrew Wolves on Friday night

The Kemptville 73’s are looking forward to some home cooking.

After an opening month of the 2024-2025 regular season that only saw them play at the North Grenville Municipal Centre once, Kemptville plays four straight games at home to open October.

It starts Friday night when the Renfrew Wolves, currently sitting last in the Central Canada Hockey League’s Robinson Division with three points, come to town.

Kemptville 73’s Head Coach Shawn Fensel says his team needs to take advantage of home ice.

“A big part of any success we’re going to have this season is obviously being a hard team to play against in our own rink which is one of our areas of focus here.”

Kemptville is in a logjam in the Robinson Division, with Smiths Falls and Pembroke, who all have seven points.

You can listen to Friday night’s game live on 97.5 Moose FM  and on www.MyKemptvilleNow.com with the pregame show starting at 7:10 p.m.
