Kemptville is in mourning following the passing of a local teen.
In a letter to families, North Grenville District High School officials say Grade 11 student Rowan Dean passed away suddenly over the weekend.
School officials say their deepest thoughts and sympathies go out to his family and friends during this very difficult time.
They add that Rowan was a gifted athlete, and well-liked by his peers and the staff at North Grenville. His energy will be dearly missed by his teammates and our entire school.
Counsellors will be at the school all week should students need to speak to someone about this loss.
