The ups will outweigh the downs when it comes to the weather in store for the fall.
So says The Weather Network Meteorologist Doug Gillham with fall officially beginning this Sunday.
Gilham says we can expect warmer than normal temperatures, with some cold blasts mixed in, and near normal precipitation levels.
However, Gilham says the real wildcard is November.
“We do think that above normal temperatures will continue into November but we’re seeing signs that there will be an abrupt transition to a colder pattern.”
Gilham adds the winter will be more traditional than last year but it remains to be seen if we will see more snow or freezing rain.
