Local students have access to sports and extra-curricular opportunities thanks to the success of a summer golf tournament.
Organizers say the 17th annual Champions for Kids Foundation Golf Tournament, held at the Brockville Country Club this summer, set a new fundraising record with close to $61,000.
The money will go to supporting students and families with the Upper Canada District School Board.
Officials say it will also provide financial support for essential needs when families require assistance.
The 18th Annual C4K golf tournament will be held next July at the Smiths Falls Golf and Country Club.
