The Ferguson Forest Centre will host the annual Terry Fox Run this Sunday.
The run starts on the St. Michael Catholic High School track in Kemptville.
Organizers have noted that $6,400 has been raised already for the run, held across the country in memory of the beloved Canadian.
Registration is at 9 a.m. The run begins at 10 a.m.
You can run, walk or bike over 2K, 5K or 10K routes.
You can also buy t-shirts at the registration table on the day of the event.
More than 650 communities in Canada participate each year.
Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope took place in 1980, with a goal of informing Canadians of the importance of finding a cure for cancer.
He ran an average of 42 kilometres every day for 143 days but ended his run when the cancer spread to his lungs.
