Algonquin College’s Perth campus says they will not be picking up any of the programming currently taught at Kemptville Campus. Dean Dave Donaldson said while he was originally interested in Kemptville’s welding program, further analysis revealed it isn’t a good fit with the Perth campus focus on heritage trades. He told the EMC he isn’t sure what senior Algonquin management is discussing for other options. Donaldson said the college in Kemptville is part of the fabric of the community; an extension of the local economy, and should always be given an opportunity.
