Kemptville Campus student wins third in soy-based product contest

University of Guelph, Kemptville Campus student Sabrina Haerle has won third place in a competition for her soy yogurt, Simply Soy Natural. Project SOY – which stands for Soybean Opportunities for Youth – is an annual contest for U of G students. The 18th annual event, held Friday, showcased 16 projects from 26 students from the Guelph, Alfred, Kemptville and Ridgetown campuses. Winning projects included soy-based biodegradable wound care, an antimicrobial food film and a personal lubricant. Winners received cash prizes for diploma, undergraduate and graduate projects.
