Summer tourism continues to hum in North Grenville

We are nearly at the unofficial halfway mark of the summer and tourism is bustling in North Grenville.

Following on the heels of the Kemptville Live Music Festival, North Grenville Mayor Nancy Peckford says there are plenty of events to look forward to in August.

They include ongoing events including the Kemptville Farmer’s Market, the South Branch Serenade Series and the Kemptville Street Piano shows.

Peckford says all three help attract people from not only in the community but outside as well.

“What we find is if people stay in the community they spend money in the community so there’s real value in ensuring that young families, in particular, and seniors have that opportunity to get out, be active and stay cool.”

Peckford adds that this is the third year in a row that the municipality is investing in focused way in building tourism in the community.
