The Kemptville District Hospital is apologizing for any inconvenience caused by its new parking system.
In response to some comments and complaints made online, hospital officials say they are responding to the concerns and tweaking their website material.
They emphasize the reason they changed to the new system is that they needed a gateless, barrier free, parking system for greater safety, removing the risk of ambulances and other vehicles stuck behind parking gates that malfunctioned at times.
Hospital officials say their Building Services Team diligently researched gateless systems and this one was the best fit for them.
They add that there is a fifteen minute grace period for people who are in and out in fifteen minutes or less and they don’t need to pay, regardless of where they park.
More information on the parking system can be found on the KDH website.
