Preparations for this year’s Canada Day celebrations are well underway and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture is looking for enthusiastic individuals who would like to lend a hand planning or helping with the celebrations. According to Councillor Frank Onasanya, Chair of Parks, Recreation and Culture, as much as the event will celebrate the country’s birthday, it also helps to bring people together. If you want to get involved, attend the planning meeting March 11th at 7pm or contact Tammy Hurlbert at the municipal offices.
