At about 9:45 pm. on Wednesday, members of Grenville County OPP, Prescott Detachment were sent to a structure fire on Dundas Street in Cardinal. Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Fire crews were already on the scene battling a fully –involved fire at the detached duplex residence that had been converted into a single family dwelling. Police provided traffic control until the fire was extinguished. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. The Fire Marshal’s office has been contacted to conduct an investigation into the cause. No one was injured in the incident.
