Ontario is providing small, rural and northern municipalities with funding to build and repair critical infrastructure and create jobs across the province. The province has approved 78 projects through Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund, which will help communities maintain, repair, expand or update vital infrastructure such as bridges, roadways, water mains and sewage treatment systems. The City of Brockville will receive up to $310,000 to reconstruct water and sewer mains. The Village of Westport will receive up to $1,980,000 for the rehabilitation of their sewage treatment facility.
