The revitalization of Kemptville’s Riverside Park continues.
Earlier this week, the splash pad, a key part of the expansion project, officially opened after being in the works for a few years.
The splash pad comes after other upgrades including an outdoor rink, year-round public washrooms at a renovated pool house and a multi-use path were already added.
Riverside Park is the oldest and largest park in North Grenville and officials say the splash pad provides a fun and safe place for families to enjoy water activities.
North Grenville Councilor Doreen O’Sullivan says the park is a key place for people to gather.
“It’s becoming a very great hub, Canada Day will be there and lots of celebrations, it’s a great hub for our municipality.”
O’Sullivan adds other upgrades are in the works including the paving of the multi-use path.
