Ottawa Police hold traffic safety blitz yesterday looking for distracted drivers

Ottawa Police held a traffic safety blitz yesterday hoping to remind motorists not to use their cell phone while driving. 60 tickets were given out during the blitz including 32 for using the phone. East Division Traffic Sergeant Denis Hull reminds drivers that “When you’re distracted behind the wheel you put yourself and others at risk”. The fine is $280 dollars.
