KDH “Crossroads Campaign” crosses $1.2-million threshold

The Kemptville District Hospital (KDH) Foundation is more than halfway to its goal of buying a CT scanner.

That’s according to KDH Foundation Coordinator Kristy Carriere, who spoke with MyKemptvilleNow about her team’s ongoing Crossroads Campaign, raising money for the scanner.

“I’m happy to share that now, as of February 15th, we are at $1.2-million raised towards our campaign, which is absolutely wonderful.”

The Crossroads Campaign launched in July of 2023, raising just over $800,000 by the end of the year.

Carriere says the campaign is important since without a CT scanner, many patients can’t be treated and to be transferred to other Emergency Departments in Ottawa.

“We absolutely need a CT scanner here at KDH to run our Emergency Department efficiently,” she adds.

Carriere also thanks everyone in the community who has supported the Crossroads Campaign so far.

“It truly is overwhelming, the amount of support that we’ve been receiving in such a short while towards our campaign, so thank you to everyone,” she says.

If you want to donate to the initiative, Carriere says you can visit the KDH Foundation website or call the hospital and dial extension 157 to speak with her.
