Life-saving medication for drug users could become more readily available in North Grenville soon.
At next week’s council meeting, the municipality is set to vote on whether to consider adding naloxone to all municipal first-aid kits in public settings.
The medication can temporarily reverse the effects of an overdose from substances like fentanyl, heroin and other opioids.
The recommendation comes from the most recent Health, Wellness and Fitness Advisory Committee meeting.
Council votes on whether to consider adding the medication to first-aid kits at their meeting Tuesday night.
