With the new year underway, the Municipality of North Grenville is set to wrap up its work on this year’s budget soon.
Staff are set to present the draft budget to council at a meeting next week.
Last year’s budget, which was approved in March of 2023 after the first draft was presented the previous month, saw property tax rates rise 3.87 percent.
That led to the average North Grenville household paying about $245 more in property taxes compared to the year before.

Once this draft budget is presented, a public consultation period will be held where the municipality collects feedback from residents.
After that, staff will present a final budget to council for approval. The draft presentation happens next Thursday, January 10th, at 6:30 PM.
