Changes to parking availability and accessibility in downtown Kemptville could start early next year.
North Grenville staff members are ready to present their prioritized list of recommendations based on the parking study of the downtown area conducted over the summer.
If council doesn’t make any changes, then the recommendations will see some parking spaces reserved for people using the North Grenville Public Library by the end of the second quarter of 2024.
Other recommendations include removing some of the parking spaces on Clothier Street within the same time frame.
Some changes, like designating some accessible parking spaces for disabled people, turning some parking spaces on Prescott Street into commercial loading zones, and allowing for limited overnight winter parking, wouldn’t begin until 2025.
Council votes on whether to implement the recommendations next week.
