Connect Youth opens registration, now collecting donations for Coldest Night of the Year

Connect Youth needs help providing housing for struggling kids and teens.

The organization is now collecting donations for this year’s Coldest Night of the Year event.

The annual initiative sees participants all over Canada raising money and taking to the streets to raise awareness for homelessness. All the money goes towards charities that support homeless people.

Connect Youth has apartments in places all over the Leeds-Grenville region that it uses to house youth that have nowhere else to go.

Last year’s event raised more than $28,000 for the organization, and its goal this year is $32,000.

If you want to donate or register to walk in the event, visit the Coldest Night of the Year website. The walk is scheduled for February 24th in Brockville.
