Our region’s MPP has invited the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development to give a presentation in our community this fall.
David Piccini will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Leeds-Grenville Economic Development Summit.
The annual event is a collaboration between the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, plus the 1000 Islands, Grenville and Valley Heartland Community Futures Development Corporations, provincial organizations that support local businesses.
The Bill Thake Memorial Award for Economic Development Leadership will also be presented at the event.
Past winners include Ken Watson and Susan Warren from Rideau Lakes, and Cathy Sheppard and Dermid O’Farrel from North Grenville.
Other guests include MPP Steve Clark and MP Michael Barrett. The event is scheduled for November 17th, from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
It’s happening at the North Grenville Municipal Centre, and you’ll need to register in advance to attend.
You can find more details on the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville website.
