KDH Foundation announces community barbecue to promote CT Scanner Lottery

Next weekend, you’ll have a chance to see a car you could win by helping the Kemptville District Hospital (KDH).

The KDH Foundation, the hospital’s fundraising arm, has announced a community barbecue event scheduled for next Saturday.

The event will give attendees a chance to see the specially painted blue 2023 Camaro SS Convertible, which is being offered as the grand prize for the foundation’s “CT Scanner Lottery.”

Tickets to enter the raffle cost $25 for a single entry, $100 for five, or $300 for ten. All the money from ticket sales is being put towards buying a CT scanner for the hospital.

“This vital piece of diagnostic equipment will be a game changer for our community,” explains Foundation Coordinator Kristy Carriere. “It will improve the patient experience, reduce patient waiting and travel time to Ottawa hospitals and help us recruit new physicians at KDH.”

The barbecue is scheduled to run from noon until 4:00 PM on September 23rd, on the hospital’s front lawn. If it rains that day, Carriere says it’ll happen on the 24th instead. The deadline to buy a ticket for the car raffle is October 26th.
