Habitat for Humanity Team Lead gives Kemptville Korners project update

Brianna Adams says the Kemptville Korners affordable housing development is coming along well.

Adams, the Family Services Team Lead for Habitat for Humanity’s Greater Ottawa branch, spoke with Moose FM Tuesday morning.

“We’ve recently accepted and onboarded a group of families, and we’re really excited to start partnering with them,” Adams says, “and we still do have available units for that development, as well.

Kemptville Korners is being built by the Greater Ottawa and Thousand Islands branches of the organization.

The final development will have fifteen homes, built across from the Kemptville District Hospital.

Adams says it’s been exciting to see the community support the project since construction began last fall.

“The community has been super gracious to us,” she says. “We have lots of volunteers on our build site, and it’s great to be working in the Kemptville community.”

According to Adams, construction is expected to wrap up in the summer of 2024, and volunteers are still being recruited.
