In a press conference Tuesday afternoon, the RCMP announced they have laid charges against 3 Canadians for terrorist activities. Among those charged is John Maguire of Ottawa (formerly of Kemptville), who was the subject of a post on a pro-Islamic Twitter feed, stating he had died a martyr for the ISIS cause. That death has not yet been officially confirmed. Also charged are 25-year-old Awso Peshdary, and 23-year-old Khadar Khalib of Ottawa, who along with twins Ashton and Carlos Larmond are believed to be part of a local ISIS cell plotting a terror attack.
