A man wanted on a nationwide arrest warrant is known to frequent the Ottawa area.
Officers with the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad say they’re looking for Steven Mavis, a man currently serving a five-year and one-month sentence.
Police say he breached his statutory release.
He’s described as a 60-year old Indigenous man, with brown hair and brown eyes, standing five-foot-ten and weighing 200 pounds.
Officers add that he has several tattoos, including the word “tat” on his upper left arm, “old school” on his left forearm, and a symbol on the left side of his neck.
They say he’s also known to frequent the Toronto, Sudbury and North Bay areas.
