Kemptville District Minor Hockey Association seeking evaluators for spring tryouts

Local hockey players have a chance to help foster the next generation of talent in the sport next month.

The Kemptville District Minor Hockey Association (KDHMA), which runs programs for young players to compete with other teams all over the region, is running tryouts for its Kemptville Storm competitive girls’ teams in April, and needs evaluators to help with the process.

People with experience playing organized hockey at a high level are being encouraged to apply, but they can’t be relatives of anyone trying out, or have any other possible conflicts of interest.

They’ll be responsible for helping the organization assess players’ skill levels and decide what players make the teams. Staff members with the KDMHA say that anyone applying needs to make sure they’re available for all the tryout sessions.

If you’re interested in applying to be an evaluator or finding out more about the KDMHA’s tryouts for 2023, you can visit the organization’s website and social media pages. The first round of tryouts begins on April 23rd.
