Volunteer Centre’s Community Income Tax Program now available for residents

Some residents of five Leeds-Grenville communities now have a chance to get some free help filing their income taxes.

The Volunteer Centre of St Lawrence-Rideau’s annual “Community Volunteer Income Tax Program” has now launched in Kemptville, Prescott, Brockville, Gananoque and Elgin.

The program lets people get assistance from volunteers in their home community filling out their tax forms, free of charge.

It’s open to individual residents making $35,000 or less annually, and for couples making $45,000 or less per year.

In Kemptville, you can take advantage of the program by dropping off your tax forms at CSE Consulting’s office on Prescott Street. Forms are being accepted on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

You can find more information on the initiative on the Volunteer Centre for St. Lawrence-Rideau’s website and social media pages.
