Kemptville Minor Football Club opens registration, announces bottle drive

Hold onto your empties from the Super Bowl this weekend.

That’s a message from the Kemptville Minor Football Club, a group that runs flag and tackle football programs for local kids and teens.

The organization is running a bottle drive next Saturday, February 18th, to raise money for its 2023 seasons.

You’ll be able to drop off empties at the northwest corner of County Road 43 and 44 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Staff members say that if you can’t make it that day, you can also text the organization with your name and address before February 17th to have someone come to you and pick up your bottles.

If your child is interested in participating in this year’s season, registration for both the tackle and flag football programs for 2023 is also open.

Flag football is available for kids between the ages of 5 and 15, with the season set to run from April 17th to June 25th.

Meanwhile, kids ages 8 to 13 can play tackle football with the organization from August 1st to October 31st.

You can find more details on the Kemptville Minor Football Club website.
