Some news out of Winchester District Memorial Hospital is good for the heart.
The hospital now has a Stress Test Machine, thanks to donations made to the WDMH Foundation.
A Stress Test Machine is attached to a patient as they walk on a treadmill and it can detect abnormal heart rhythms.
With the technology in place, patients will no longer have to travel to Ottawa for such tests.
Foundation Managing Director Kristen Casselman it’s a proud addition for the cardiac team at the hospital, which prides itself on taking good care of patients with heart conditions.
The technology cost just over $50,000.
