Kemptville Winter Carnival: rain date announced, Christmas trees being collected

If you haven’t taken your Christmas tree to the Transfer Station in Oxford Mills yet, another group in town can put it to use.

The team organizing the Kemptville Winter Carnival is asking for residents to donate Christmas trees in good condition to use for the event.

According to a social media post, roughly 30 trees will be needed for the event. Residents who want to donate one are being asked to drop them off at 507 Barnes Street in Kemptville.

The Winter Carnival is scheduled to happen from February 3rd to 5th, but organizers have also announced a rain date, in case the weather prevents it from running that weekend.

“If Mother Nature does not cooperate with us,” the post reads, “we will postpone it to the following weekend [February 10th to 12th].”

You can find more information on the event on the Kemptville Winter Carnival Facebook page.
